Bayer built its first chemical industry project in western China. The Chongqing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau has recently accepted the application materials for the environmental assessment report of Bayer Material Science and Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd., which has an annual output of 30,000 tons of polyurethane composite materials and 20,000 tons of polycarbonate composite materials, and has publicized the relevant contents. According to reports, this is Bayer's first chemical industry project in western China. According to the plan, it will invest 60 million U.S. dollars in the first phase of its longevity base and annual sales of 170 million U.S. dollars. According to the construction schedule, the first phase of the project will be completed and put into operation in October 2013. After the base is put into production, it can meet the needs of Chongqing's three major industries of automobile, refrigerator manufacturing and IT industry.
