The lawsuit resulted from Rotomaster's infringement of Cummins' turbocharger-related patents in the United States and abroad. Under the terms of the settlement, Rotomaster should cease production of infringing products in all countries and regions where Cummins has a valid patent, and cease all infringing activities in the United States. Rotomaster acknowledged the validity and feasibility of Cummins related patents and acknowledged that he had infringed.
"Cummins is satisfied with the resolution of this dispute," said Mahesh Narang, Cummins executive director and general manager of turbocharger technology. "Cummins has always respected its intellectual property rights and took necessary actions to safeguard its own intellectual property to protect its own legitimate rights and interests."
