There are five main types of industries to be controlled, including heavy ferrous metal ore (including associated ore) mining and selection, heavy non-ferrous metal smelting, lead storage battery manufacturing, leather and its products, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing. At the same time, Zhang Xizhong, deputy secretary-general of the Recycling Metals Branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, revealed that four renewable non-ferrous metal industrial pollutant discharge standards for copper , aluminum , lead and zinc are expected to be promulgated at the end of this year.

As we all know, the treatment of heavy metal pollution has always been very difficult, especially heavy metals scattered in the soil and water, not only the blind spots of technology, but also the need to spend a lot of money and manpower. The introduction of planning and emission standards aims to control the emission of pollutants from the non-ferrous metals industry, promote the progress of non-ferrous metal industry production technology equipment and pollution control technology, and also consider the corporate social responsibility awareness.

In the future, China's heavy metal pollution control and governance policies are likely to continue to tighten, and the supervision and consolidation of existing non-ferrous metal enterprises will continue to increase. It is reported that some places have already dealt heavily with heavy metal pollution. Therefore, China's non-ferrous metal industry should completely change the line of “polluting by pollution, even after pollution first”, actively starting from the source of pollution, implementing compulsory clean production, that is, using environmentally friendly equipment in production, reducing heavy metals from the source. The amount of pollutants generated, vigorously develop the circular economy, and actively monitor the discharge of pollutants and the management of emissions.
