Ma Zhongchao: China's Electric Bicycle Growth Slows Down

It is understood that Ma Zhongchao, chairman of the China Bicycle Association, said on the 27th that the growth rate of electric bicycle production has started to slow down.

Ma Zhongchao said that the export volume of electric bicycles was 607,000, an increase of 3.8% year-on-year. The turning point in the development of China's bicycle and electric bicycle industry has already appeared, and low growth will gradually become the norm. The industry is bred with endogenous power and transformation consensus in the downturn channel.

Ma Zhongchao pointed out that despite the decline in output, the sales value of products and added value of products have increased, and the unit price of products has continuously increased, and the product structure of Chinese bicycles is changing.

According to the relevant plans of the China Bicycle Association, during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, China’s bicycle and electric bicycle industries will strive to increase their total industrial output value by an average of 6% per year. By 2015, they will have exceeded 100 billion yuan. The scale of bicycles and parts exports is basically stable. Exports have increased significantly.
