At the end of the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan†period, Shandong Province’s major chemical companies such as chemical industry and other major industries have achieved more than 68% equipment rate above the domestic advanced level, and the equipment rate at the international advanced level has reached more than 30%.
It is understood that as of the end of 2006, the rate of equipment above the domestic advanced level of major industrial enterprises in Shandong Province was 62.1%, of which the equipment rate at the international advanced level was 23.9%. The chemical industry has been transforming through the active application of new and high technologies, and has gradually increased the size of the device. Among them, the ethylene single set of equipment increased from 450,000 tons/year at the end of the Ninth Five-Year Plan to 800,000 tons/year, the urea single-line device was increased from 120,000 tons/year to 500,000 tons/year, and the ratio of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda to caustic soda was increased.
