What are the factors affecting the accuracy of the electromagnetic flowmeter?

The electromagnetic flowmeter is a meter that measures the flow rate according to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction and is used to measure the volumetric flow of conductive liquid in the pipeline.
There are some factors that affect the measurement accuracy of the flowmeter. The following is an enumeration:
1. If the liquid to be tested contains metal, the electrode of the flowmeter is prone to short circuit, and the measured value of the flowmeter is obviously too small or tends to zero.
This phenomenon does not occur frequently in daily production operations. When measuring high viscosity media, the signal potential of the electrode is easy to adhere and precipitate on the pipe wall. If the measured conductivity of the liquid is lower than the conductivity of the attached medium, the signal potential of the electrode is It will be shunted by the sediment and will not work properly, and the electrode short circuit will occur. If the precipitated medium is a non-conductive layer, it will cause the electrode to open and the flow meter will not work properly. If the rust oxide layer adheres to the lining wall, or the main component is a metal precipitate, the electrical conductivity is greater than the liquid conductivity, and the actual flow value will be higher than the flow rate measured by the flow meter. If the precipitate is a scale layer such as calcium carbonate, the conductivity of the liquid to be measured is higher than the conductivity of the precipitate, and as a result, the measured flow value will be smaller than the actual flow rate.
Second, because the electromagnetic flowmeter measures the existence of suspended solid phase or dirty body much more than other flow meters, the probability of failure of the inner wall adhesion layer is relatively high.
If the conductivity of the adhesion layer is close to the liquid conductivity, the meter can output the signal normally, but only change the flow area to form a hidden fault of the measurement error; if it is a high conductivity adhesion layer, the electromotive force between the electrodes will be short-circuited; if it is an insulating adhesion layer The surface of the electrode is insulated to disconnect the measuring circuit. The latter two phenomena will make the meter inoperable.
The electromagnetic flowmeter is a widely used measuring instrument. The parts have no rotating parts and no parts that impede fluid flow, so there is almost no pressure loss. The electromagnetic flowmeter is easy to install, horizontal, vertical and inclined; the measurement accuracy is high, it can reach 0.5%; the range ratio is large, generally 1:20. The liquid to be tested is only in contact with the pipe lining and the electrode of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Therefore, as long as the electrode and the lining material are properly selected, it has good corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and plays an extreme role in industrial production.
