Luo Baihui said that in China's mold market, the development of automotive molds is a top priority. Because the automobile and motorcycle industries are one of the five pillar industries of China's national economy, in 2012 China's automobile production and sales volume has exceeded 19.31 million. From the perspective of industrial economic development, China's automobile and motorcycle industry has entered the stage of “economic take-offâ€. With the rapid growth of China's automobile and motorcycle exports, the replacement of wood and metal by plastic molds will increase the demand for plastic molds in the automobile and motorcycle industries, especially the development of new materials and new molding technologies, resulting in plastic products. Demand in the automotive and motorcycle industries is increasing. To a certain extent, the amount of plastic products for automobiles and motorcycles can reflect the level of development of a country's automobile and motorcycle industry. For example, the average plastic product used in every car in Germany has reached nearly 300 kilograms, accounting for about 22% of the total automobile consumption materials. It is the country with the largest number of automobile and motorcycle parts in the world. In Japan, the average plastic used in each car is about 100 kilograms, and they use plastic products such as instrument panels.
At present, the application of plastic products for automobiles and motorcycles has been developed from ordinary decorative parts to structural parts and functional parts. The use of plastic raw materials has also been extended from ordinary plastics to composite materials or plastic alloys with higher impact and better impact resistance.
