Bosch to Jointly Produce Diesel Injection System Products in China

According to German news, Bosch will jointly manufacture diesel injection system products with Wuxi Weifu High-tech Co., Ltd. in Wuxi. The initial investment in the joint venture was 150 million euros, the German side held 67% of the shares, and the Chinese side held 33% of the shares. The joint venture company will first produce commercial vehicle common rail injectors that meet Euro III and above emission standards, and will also produce common rail fuel injectors in the future. The project also needs to be considered and approved by the shareholders meeting of Bosch. Bosch said that the negotiation of the joint venture contract will be completed within this year.

Bosch is the second largest shareholder of Weifu Hi-Tech Company. Including participating companies, Bosch has a total of approximately 9,000 employees in China. Currently, it has annual sales of approximately 1 billion euros, and will quadruple in 2013 to reach 5 billion euros. Weifu Hi-tech Company is a manufacturer of automotive parts and components listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
