Recently, FAW Jiexi Xichai held the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” overseas market seminar to fully plan its overseas market strategy and accelerate the development of the brand's internationalization.

During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, FAW Jiefang Xichai cooperated with auto and non-road machinery manufacturers to deepen its overseas markets and achieved good results. The export sales volume of Xicai Machinery has grown steadily at a double-digit annual rate, and has grown at an overall level of the leading industry. The liberation heavy trucks supported by Aowei engines have entered the European market represented by Russia; other Xichai engines of other lines are also receiving Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the domestic famous brands of trucks, buses, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, generator sets and power units. Customers in Africa, South America and other places have been widely favored; major breakthroughs have also been made in stand-alone exports. In particular, in 2015, in the case of a 8.3% decline in total domestic engine exports, the export sales of Xicinc machines increased by 17.9%.

In order to make “national brands, high-end power” go international, and rely on the national development “One Belt and One Road” development opportunities, Xichai further optimizes the overseas market layout and accelerates the pace of going international. In the “Thirteenth Five-Year” overseas market seminar held on March 29, 2016, the leaders of Xichai Sales Company analyzed the status quo of China’s auto industry and Xichai’s exports, the situation of Xichai’s overseas markets, and Xichai’s “13th Five-Year” overseas. The fourteenth five-year plan for overseas markets was announced in four areas: market goals and measures, and key issues requiring coordination. The participants held discussions on the “13th Five-Year Plan” overseas market planning and made relevant suggestions.

Director Qian Hengrong discussed the opinions of the meeting, clearly defined the overall strategic positioning of “combining independent strategy and opportunity strategy and highlighting brand building” and continued to expand the international influence of Xichai brand. He defined the development direction and system construction requirements of overseas markets during the “13th Five-Year Plan” period from the aspects of brand, service system, marketing capability, market development capability, incentive mechanism, and risk prevention, and deployed the next phase of key tasks. All departments are required to quickly implement the relevant resolutions of the seminar after the meeting, and continue to improve the "13th Five-Year Plan" for overseas markets, laying a solid foundation for achieving the planned goal of "successfully entering the US market."
