Light electric tire gantry crane passed technical appraisal

Recently, the Department of Science and Education of the Ministry of Communications has conducted technical appraisal and acceptance of the “Light (Electric) Tyre Type Gantry Crane” national key new product project undertaken by the Institute of Water Transportation Science and Technology, Ministry of Communications. The appraisal committee unanimously approved the appraisal and acceptance.
Lightweight (electric) tire-type gantry crane is a new product independently researched and developed by the institute's electromechanical design institute and possesses independent intellectual property rights. It combines the advantages of a container yard electric gantry crane and a tire-type gantry crane, and has a simple structure and weight. Lightweight, energy-saving and environmental protection, low cost, convenient transfer and other features provide a new type of loading and unloading machinery for China's container terminals.
After three years of promotion and technical upgrading of this project, multiple products have been delivered to customers for production and operation. The products are advanced, economical, practical, and have obvious economic and social benefits. The promotion and application prospects are good. The four innovative technologies of this project have obtained national patents. It has significant novelty in the research of four-reel control technology, structural lightening, energy-saving technologies, and key technologies of automatic control systems. Experts agreed that the research results of this project are centered on the four-cylinder drive of the lifting-carriage operation. It is a major technological innovation of the traditional RTG, and it has been applied for the first time at home and abroad and is at the international advanced level.
