At the board meeting held on December 20th by Otoliv, the board members elected Lars Nyberg, the new board chairman. Lars Nyberg succeeded Lars Westerberg.
Nyberg has been a director of the Board of Directors of Autolif since October 2004. Nyberg currently serves as President and CEO of TeliaSonera, a leading communications company in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Nyberg also serves as chairman of DataCard.
Westerberg has been working at Autoliv for 13 years. In April 2007, he was elected chairman of the company's board of directors. Under Westerberg's leadership, Autoliv’s sales increased from 3.5 billion U.S. dollars in 1998 to an estimated 8 billion U.S. dollars this year.
