A Taiwanese customer Manager Huang wanted to buy a suitable water
chiller. He preferred S&A CW-5000 chiller with a cooling capacity of
800W, with the cooling requirements as follows: 1. The temperature of
the aluminum plate was approximately 200℃ that should be reduced to 23℃
in 4 minutes; and 2. When the temperature of circulating cooling water
was 23℃, it was measured that the temperature of the cold plate was kept
at 31℃.
It is learnt by referencing to the performance curve of S&A CW-5000
chiller that when the room temperature and the outlet water temperature
are 20℃ and 20℃, the cooling capacity will be 627W. However, it is
determined from the experience of S&A in providing compatible
chillers that CW-5000 chiller cannot achieve cooling of the aluminum
plate with the temperature of 200℃ to 23℃ in 4 minutes, while the
CW-5300 chiller with a cooling capacity of 1,800W (when the room
temperature and the outlet water temperature are 20℃ and 20℃, the
cooling capacity will be 627W) will meet the cooling requirements of
Manager Huang.
