In terms of parts suppliers, companies with a foreign investment background occupy the high-end market, while domestic-funded enterprises mainly occupy the low-end market. However, due to the limited research and development capabilities of domestic-funded enterprises, they cannot promote the upgrading and innovation of the entire vehicle manufacturing industry through their own development, which restricts the development of China's auto industry to some extent.

Suppliers of spare parts must also make sufficient efforts in technological innovation capability, quality assurance ability, cost control ability, logistics support ability, and outstanding talents cohesiveness, and stay in a neutral position in development. Zhang Ning, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automotive Engineers, stated: “Only when a supplier can help a vehicle company to grow, can he achieve total growth with the vehicle company and achieve sustainable development of his own company.”
