Due to the manufacturer's manufacturing reasons, some of the vehicles in this recall range have poor nickel plating coating on the electric fuel pump parts in some batches. BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace the fuel delivery unit (including the electric fuel pump) for the problematic vehicles to eliminate safety hazards.

The recalled models include 1,500 BMW 3 Series vehicles produced by BMW Brilliance from October 26, 2013 to March 28, 2014. BMW (China) imported from June 14, 2012 to March 17, 2014. During the period, the BMW 1, 2, 3, and 4 models produced a total of 11,417 vehicles.

In addition, BMW will also recall some imported X3 models, the production date is from October 1, 2011 to December 1, 2013, involving a total of 53,317 vehicles in mainland China. Vehicles within the scope of the recall, the power supply harness of the electric fuel pump may interfere with the pressure regulating valve on the fuel delivery unit, which may cause damage to the harness during use of the vehicle. In certain cases, an internal short circuit may occur. When a defect occurs, it will cause the engine power to drop and shake, and the possibility of the vehicle stalling is not excluded, and there is a safety hazard.
