· Ford plans to develop pure electric vehicles will be launched in Europe and America / China

On December 15th, Ford Motor Company will focus on investing $4.5 billion in the development of pure electric vehicles (EVs) by 2020. As the limits of fuel efficiency in Europe and the United States become more stringent, Ford is preparing to upgrade the technology without using an engine, but using an electric motor. It is planned that by 2020, motor-driven vehicles, including hybrid vehicles (HVs), will account for 40% of their sales.
This is by far the largest investment for Ford in the field of pure electric vehicles. The company will first launch the new pure electric vehicle "Fox" in the second half of 2016. The cruising range is about 160 kilometers, which can be charged at high speed. It can fill about 80% of the battery in 30 minutes. Including hybrid, plug-in hybrid (PHV), pure electric products, plans to launch 13 products by 2020.
In addition to the United States and Europe, the vehicle-targeted market also envisions Asia, such as Taiwan, South Korea, and China, which are expected to expand in the pure electric field. In particular, the air pollution in mainland China is serious, and the pure electric power that does not emit exhaust gas enjoys the government's generous subsidies. Ford has been working with Toyota on hybrid technology for pickup trucks until 2013, but it seems to be ready to develop alone.
Among the world's largest automakers, General Motors (GM) is working with South Korea's LG Group to strengthen the pure electric vehicle business.
