Newman has worked for 10 years and designed a fitting, flexible space suit. She uses the materials and techniques she needs to build a suit, not like bulky astronauts wear space suits that walked on the moon more than 40 years ago. This new technology can lead to a reduction in the weight of the space suit, which is more like a shrink-wrapped second skin.
