On April 21, 2011, the reporter conducted an exclusive interview with Ling Lujun, general manager of Jiangsu Kawei Auto Parts Co., Ltd. at the conference of the 3rd Global Parts Summit Forum in 2011. Ling Lujun answered three major sales systems and product developments of Cardwell. The reporter’s question.
Reporter: Since 2003, Cardwell Group has successively obtained the ISO9000 quality system certification and the national 3C safety system certification. In 2009, the Cardwell Group has obtained the qualification for the special automobile production of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the State. Can you specifically talk about the company? How is product quality control?
Ling Lujun: First of all, Calvi has a sound quality management system. Our employees have strong quality management concepts from top to bottom.
In terms of product quality assurance, Cardwell uses technology to ensure quality. In our opinion, technology is the key to quality assurance. From technology research and development to the entire production process is strictly in accordance with TS16949. In the production process, we even strengthen quality control, such as regular equipment inspections, supervision of key work stations, and training of employees.
Reporter: You have repeatedly stressed the training of employees and strengthened the quality management concept of employees. Can you specifically talk about this situation?
Ling Lujun: We educated our employees at the daily morning meeting about the problems that occurred in our work yesterday. In addition, during the annual training and monthly training, Cardwell will also formulate a comprehensive plan to strictly deploy the training and education of employees.
Reporter: It is understood that in order to meet the needs of market development, Cardwell established three sales systems: the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Marketing Department, and the Sales Department. Can you specifically talk about how these three systems are currently operating?
Ling Lujun: The Cardwell Group is now split into two major businesses, one is auto parts and the other is our complete vehicle. Auto parts are divided into three business units: one is the market department, mainly for the domestic market; the other is the foreign trade department. At present, 26 countries have established a stable trade relationship with us; another is our supporting department. We provide a full range of sheet metal parts, plastic parts and interior parts for automobiles. Among these three businesses, matching is our key point. This piece is also a business that has risen and developed rapidly in the past five years.
Reporter: The above focused on the sales department of Cardwell. Can you talk about the operation of your company's technical department?
Ling Lujun: At present, there are about 156 R&D teams at Calvi. After we receive the needs of our clients, we will first develop a schedule of management and control, which will be led by our R&D center and technical centers to work together.
At the same time, we adopt a short-paced R&D model. The development cycle of a new model is generally 6 to 7 months.
Reporter: What new products and technologies have Carway launched this year?
Ling Lujun: At present, we have jointly launched a new model with Brilliance Automotive, which was also exhibited at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Reporter: How does Cardwell control the cost of products in the development of new products?
Ling Lujun: At the beginning of research and development, Cardwell will consider the issue of cost. In the actual operation process, we will carry out the preliminary budget for the cost based on the specific model, the market price, and the customer's psychological needs.
Reporter: Today, Cardwell Group's customers have spread all over Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa. Can you talk about what your current business layout is and what new marketing plans are there?
Ling Lujun: In overseas markets, Kawei is now mainly engaged in parts and components business. In the three major sales systems of Carway, the foreign trade and market sales departments still maintain a consistent growth rate. Our products are sold in more than 20 countries. The foreign trade department can achieve annual sales of about 60 to 70 million yuan each year. Up to about 150 million yuan. The supporting department's business has also achieved a rapid development in recent years, and the future will also be the focus of our development in the overseas market.
In the 12th Five-Year Plan of Caywe, we will strive to build a company with 10 billion enterprises. We will not only continue to strengthen the development of our restructured vehicle business, but also will develop our own pickup truck and SUV business.
Reporter: New energy vehicles are an inevitable trend for future development, and also set off a new round of revolution in the automotive industry. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for the automotive market. How do you view the future prospects of new energy vehicles? Is there a corresponding strategic plan for new energy vehicles?
Ling Lujun: New energy vehicles are an inevitable trend for future development. Cardwell has also considered this business area since 2009. In the future, we will continue to accelerate the development of this business.

Ling Lujun: The upstream supplier, the enterprise itself, and the downstream customers are a community of interests. It is necessary to form a win-win situation.
