Local components approaching half of the country's ten areas dominate

The automobile market share from the main brands has been rising for the past three years, and in particular it even reached a market share of nearly 50% in 2009, which is a significant increase compared with 10 years ago. Some organizations have conducted surveys on More than 1,000 professionals in procurement and technology development of more than 400 Chinese and foreign OEMs and first-class large-scale component manufacturers and found that more than 80% of auto parts market segments are marketed by local component companies. The share is increasing, and the market share of domestic companies in more than 40% of market segments exceeds 50%, especially in the commercial vehicle and second- and third-tier component parts.

According to a research report, local auto parts suppliers have a dominant position in more than ten automotive sectors such as automobile wheels, glass, batteries, drum brakes, cylinder blocks, filters, pumps, radiators, flywheels, connecting rods, and horns. In the past, five years ago, the areas where foreign capital accounted for the dominant position in the market such as alternators, clutches, wiper systems, and seals have developed rapidly and have occupied a place, and it is expected that the situation with foreign capital will be evenly divided in the future. From these two sets of data, it can be seen that in recent years, local parts and components companies have rapidly risen in many segments, and the overall growth rate has surpassed that of foreign-funded companies in quite a number of areas.
