SKF wins USD 750 million in Sinotruk supply contract

SKF SKF has announced that it has signed a long-term contract with CNHTC (China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd.), which will supply CNHTC wheel hub bearing units, tapered roller bearings and seals, etc. The value of the contract was 5.2 billion Swedish kronor (about 750 million U.S. dollars).

Tom Johnstone, president and CEO of SKF SKF, said: “China is a very important market for SKF. The company’s new plant in Jinan, Shandong Province, China will supply CNHTC and other truck and trailer manufacturers from next year. product."

SKF will produce hub bearings and tapered roller bearings for CNHTC in its new plant in Jinan, and produce seals at its Wuhu plant in China.

SKF's new plant in Jinan covers an area of ​​16,000 square meters and is still under construction. It is expected that it will not be fully operational until the first half of next year.

Currently SKF employs 5,000 people in China. In September this year, SKF opened its thirteenth factory in China. In 2010, SKF opened a technology R&D center in Shanghai, China. The R&D center is mainly used to develop specific products for Chinese customers.
