On June 21st, Yuchai officially obtained the “China Ship Classification Society (CCS) Product Inspection and Testing Institution Approval Certificate†and became the fourth product inspection and test accreditation body of China Classification Society, filling CCS in South China. There is no blank in the inspection organization, which indicates that Yuchai has reached a brand-new level in testing capabilities such as testing equipment, quality control, and inspection technology.
In May 2008, Yuchai started the application for CCS testing and accreditation, carefully compiled the marine engine test and test program, the marine engine test data template, the marine engine emission calculation table for different cycles, and the Chinese/English marine engine emission report. In September 2009, Yuchai Laboratory passed CCS' on-site review of personnel skills, equipment testing capabilities, laboratory data management systems, marine engine test specifications, and marine engine calculation tables. In April 2010, Yuchai Test House first used CCS's inspection agency to conduct on-site emission certification tests for the YC6T450C marine main engine and YC6T450C marine auxiliary engine and successfully completed it.
Established in 1956, China Classification Society (CCS) is the only professional organization in China that is engaged in ship classification inspection. The marine engine must pass the CCS marine engine emission certification to meet the discharge requirements before it can be assembled on board the vessel for marine navigation.
After Yuchai became the ship inspection agency of CCS, on the one hand it was able to reduce the cost of entrusted inspections of Yuchai's marine products, and it also accelerated the progress of Yuchai's marine engine application and certification tests. On the other hand, relying on this qualification Yuchai can also be commissioned by CCS to conduct emissions certification for other manufacturers' marine engines. (Dai Zhenchao)
