1, the classification of the meter:

(1) According to the application category: can be divided into pen PH meter, portable PH meter, laboratory PH meter and industrial PH meter. Pen pH meter is mainly used to replace the function of pH test paper, with low accuracy and easy to use features. The portable pH meter is mainly used for on-site and field measurement methods, requiring higher accuracy and improved functionality.

(2) According to the instrument accuracy classification: can be divided into 0.2, 0.1, 0.02, 0.01 and 0.001 level, the smaller the number, the higher the precision.

(3) Classification according to reading instructions: It can be divided into two types: pointer type and digital display type. Pointer pH meters are rarely used today, but pointer meters can show continuous changes in data and are therefore used in titration analysis.

(4) Classification according to the type of components: can be divided into transistor type, integrated circuit type and microcontroller microcomputer type, and now more is the application of micro-computer chips, which greatly reduces the size of the instrument and the cost of a single machine; but the development cost of the chip is expensive.

2, laboratory pH meter: Laboratory pH meter is a desktop high-precision analytical instrument, requiring high precision and full functionality, including printouts, data processing and so on.

3, industrial pH meter: industrial pH meter is used for continuous measurement of industrial processes, not only have measurement display function, but also have alarm and control functions, as well as installation, cleaning, anti-jamming and other considerations.
