China's first legislative regulation of oil and gas pipeline protection management

The "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of Oil and Gas Pipelines" will be implemented on October 1 this year. This is the first time that China has legislated to regulate the protection and management of oil and gas pipelines. This law has four salient features: emphasizing management of the company is the main responsibility for maintaining pipeline safety; clarifying the responsibilities of the pipeline protection of the government and relevant departments; paying attention to safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people and land rights holders; and fully considering safeguarding pipeline safety It also pays attention to implementing the principles of land saving and environmental protection.
