[ China Instrument Network Instrument R&D ] Recently, the first 140 MPa domestically produced cage-type throttle valve in China was successfully applied in the Well 134 of Keshen Gas Field Well. As of July 13, the cumulative gas production has reached 45.18 million cubic meters.
Valves are an indispensable control device in plants for petrochemical production. There are many types of valves, and the variety of valves continues to increase with the continuous improvement of various types of equipment. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†period, the petrochemical industry focused on the development of new products for large-scale petrochemical, oil and gas gathering and transportation pipelines, coal liquefaction and other major projects, and the export pipelines for cracking furnaces of ethylene plants of 800,000 tons and above. The output of high-temperature valves, large-diameter high-pressure ball valves, large-diameter oil pipeline ball valves, and low-temperature valves for liquefied natural gas increased significantly.
Although China's petrochemical valves have made progress, they have a place in the high-end market. However, products such as cage-type throttle valves in the petrochemical industry still need to be imported.
Kuqa Mountain is the main area for PetroChina to build 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas in Tarim. The characteristics of single wells are ultra-deep, ultra-high pressure and ultra-high temperature. The requirements for exploration and development technology and process are very high. Among them, the Keshen 13 block with an average buried depth of 7,400 meters has a static pressure of more than 110 MPa in a single well, and the development complexity of the gas reservoir requires extremely high performance of the wellhead throttle valve. This means that 100 MPa is equivalent to a weight of 10,000 tons per square meter. The huge pressure makes it difficult to mine every cubic meter of natural gas.
For a long time, the throttle valve used in the wellhead of the Keshen gas field relied on foreign imports, and not only the key technologies were subject to others. Moreover, the high cost and long purchase period are very unfavorable for the construction of the project. Therefore, the Tarim Oilfield will use the “140 MPa domestically produced cage-type throttle valve project†as a major pilot test project to make every effort to solve the practical problems faced in the development of the Keshen gas field.
Through continuous optimization of the sealing structure design and perfect material formulation, the R&D personnel of the project will continue to strengthen the research topic of the high-pressure block in the case of the development of the Kuqa Mountain gas reservoir in the “Three Super†area. The pursuit of more pressure-resistant, more reliable sealing technology, the realization of 213 MPa strength test pressure without leakage, creating the highest record of the same type of product dynamic sealing pressure.
It has been proved by practice that the five exploration wells and evaluation wells deployed in the Keshen 13 block have obtained high-yield airflow, which further confirms the natural gas scale of the Keshen 13 gas reservoir and directly promotes the drilling of the Keshen 21 well with a designed well depth of 8220 meters. It accelerated the process of deep exploration of the Tarim Oilfield to 8000 meters.
The successful application of the 140 MPa domestically produced throttle valve will help accelerate the construction of the 30 million tons of large oil and gas fields in Tarim and contribute to the national energy efficient development.
