The foundation-laying ceremony for the 100,000 tons/year of 1,4-butanediol project of Hebi Coal Co., Ltd. was held in Hebi. It is reported that the project plans to invest a total investment of 1.63 billion yuan, covering 249.4 acres, in two phases. At present, the preparation of research reports and project filings have been completed. It is estimated that by the end of 2011, it will be put into operation and Hefei will become the first 1,4-butanediol project operating company in Henan Province.
