In 2013, the output of truck tires in the United States increased by 4.6% year-on-year

The data released by the Rubber Manufacturers Association of the United States (RMA) recently showed that in 2013, due to the impact of imported tires , the output of US light vehicle tires declined.

According to RMA's data, in 2013, the output of tires for the United States was 119 million, a decrease of 3.4% from the previous year, and that of light trucks fell to 23.5 million, a decrease of 7.6% from the previous year. Contrary to this, in 2013, the U.S. market’s imports of passenger tires increased by 12.8% year-on-year to reach 142 million; light-item car tire imports reached 24.9 million, a year-on-year increase of 18.8%. In contrast, in 2013, the output of card-car tires in the United States increased by 4.6% year-on-year to 13.8 million; Car-to-child tire imports decreased by 3.5% year-on-year to 10.2 million.
