Multinational Instruments Corporation Expands Headquarters

The new site of Agilent Technologies Shanghai was officially launched on April 25, 2013. This is also the relocation of another multinational instrument company Shanghai headquarters after PerkinElmer and Waters.

As the Chinese market grows and develops, the multinational instrument company's Shanghai headquarters is no longer able to meet the operational needs of major companies in terms of space, especially to provide customers with space for application services and training.

The three major multinational instrument companies that have recently moved to expand have invariably upgraded and expanded the area of ​​customer centers, experimental centers, and training centers.

On September 5, 2012, PerkinElmer pioneered the expansion of the China regional headquarters and Shanghai office. The new office of PerkinElmer Shanghai Office is located in Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. The building has a total area of ​​8,250 square meters and consists of 6 floors. In the new headquarters building, PerkinElmer built a 1,000 square meter Customer Experience Center (CKC). The Customer Experience Center is divided into two major display areas: analytical instruments, life sciences, and diagnostic instruments. It focuses on the main instruments of PerkinElmer's product lines, focusing on diagnostics, life sciences, environmental, food, and chemical markets. The center also assumes the role of user training center.

On February 27, 2013, the Waters Shanghai headquarters also performed hardware expansion. The new site of Waters Shanghai headquarters is located in the capital of Jinling, Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The expansion of Waters' new headquarters in Shanghai provides a larger space for the Solution Center and the Training Center to increase the center's functionality. In the future, Waters Training Center will not only provide equipment training, but will also focus more on providing training solutions with different industry characteristics.

The new site of the Agilent Technologies Shanghai headquarters, which was recently launched, is located in Hongkou District, Shanghai and occupies 5 floors. The important facilities for the new upgrade of this new site are the “Customer Center of Excellence” and the “Open Lab”. The new “Customer Center of Excellence” is the largest customer service center in China. It includes six core functions: instrument demonstration, customer training, project cooperation, staff training, method development, and talent cultivation. The newly upgraded “Open Lab” was the first measurement laboratory that Agilent Technologies established in the world to be completely free and open to customers. Now it will provide customers with a multi-disciplinary professional measurement environment covering the entire product/project life. Cycle, from the beginning of product design, R & D, to mass production / implementation of the various stages, providing the appropriate measurement solutions and professional technical advisory services.

In addition, according to Mao Junling, director of communications at Thermo Fisher Scientific in China, Thermo Fisher's Chinese headquarters in Shanghai will also add another building from the original two buildings this year, greatly expanding its operating area. R&D, after-sales service and training.
