According to industry analysts, in the No. 1 document issued in February 2011 by the Ministry of Land and Resources, it was decided to establish the first batch of rare earth national planning mining areas in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. The first batch of 11 rare earth national planning mining areas are all located in Ganzhou, Jiangxi. The total planned mining area is 2534 square kilometers, involving 7 major rare earth production counties within the jurisdiction of Yanzhou City. This "planning" laid a solid foundation for Zhangzhou defending the title of "Rare Earth Kingdom".
