Shipments will increase by 9.5% The strong growth of the US light truck tire market

Recently, the American Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) forecasted the US's total tire shipments in 2016.

According to the data, the United States’ tire shipments this year will reach 314.4 million, which is basically the same as the 313.5 million in 2015.

US light truck shipments have grown strongly. The replacement of light truck replacement tires will increase by 7.9% to 31.5 million. The shipment of light trucks' original tyres will increase by 9.5%.

Passenger tire shipments are expected to decline slightly. Among them, the decrease in shipments of replacement tires was slightly lower than 1% to 205.2 million, and the decline in shipments of original tires was similar.

Truck tire shipments are mixed. Among them, the shipment volume of replacement tires is expected to grow by 2.5% to 18.4 million, and the shipment of original tires is expected to drop by 17.6% to 5.1 million.
