The prosperity of the automotive industry declines Shougang to follow Baosteel's downward adjustment of steel prices

In May, the national automobile production and sales were 1,348,900 and 1,382,800 vehicles, respectively, a decrease of 12.14% and 10.09% year-on-year, respectively; year-on-year sales decreased by 4.89% and 3.98% respectively. From January to May, automobile production and sales were 7,777,700 units and 7,791,200 units respectively, an increase of 3.19% and 4.06% year-on-year, and the increase rate was 52.4 and 49.19 percentage points lower than the same period of last year. The pricing policy announced by Shougang on June 15 showed that cold rolling and hard cooling were reduced by RMB 150/ton, and galvanization remained unchanged. Now 1.0 cold is RMB 4,600/ton, cold hard 4,410 yuan/ton, and galvanized 5,260 yuan/ton. , above does not include tax. Shougang’s follow-up price adjustments once again reflected the weakness of the cold-rolling market and the obvious decline in the booming market for the corresponding industries such as the auto industry.

Baosteel's previously announced price policy in July showed that Baosteel's hot-rolled low-carbon carbon reduction was RMB 200/ton, and the rest remained unchanged; pickling was down-regulated by RMB 100/ton; cold-rolled below 2.3mm was down-regulated by RMB 100/ton; and galvanized high-strength steel was down- RMB/ton, other things do not move; galvanized steel, color coated, thick slabs are unchanged; low-grade silicon steel is reduced by RMB 500/ton, and the above prices do not include tax. Following the introduction of the price policy of Baosteel Co., Ltd. in July, Shougang Group followed up the price adjustment, and its cold rolled down, hot rolled, medium plate and galvanized more dimensional stability.
