Prevention and control of water damage is an important part of coal mine safety work. In addition to carefully designing the location of the wellhead when designing the mine and arranging the roadway, coal mining under the rivers and lakes in the water-storage area and the ground should leave a safety coal pillar, and also organize the strength to repair the drainage ditch and build waterproof before the rain show. Dikes, filling ground cracks to reduce ground rainwater leakage into the well. It is especially important that when the roadway is close to the suspected water accumulation area, it is necessary to take water exploration measures to explore the first. After the water accumulation area has been proved, release the water and then dig it in; or modify the design to change the direction of the tunnel and avoid the danger zone. Before the water is permeable, there are signs, such as the pressure on the top and bottom of the work surface, the water in the head, the water in the coal, the sound of water in the coal seam, the water flowing out of the drill hole, and so on. Every underground worker must know these signs of water permeability. If these signs are found, they will automatically stop working and report to the mine dispatching room.

If there is a water permeable accident in the underground, it is necessary to use the quickest method to notify all nearby personnel to retreat quickly and calmly to a high place. After permeable, sometimes a large amount of harmful gases are released from the water accumulation area, so pay special attention to this.
