In the beneficiation process of mineral processing equipment, the purification method of tailings water has always been a difficult problem to solve. If it is abandoned, it will cause a lot of waste, because the tailings water contains various mineral sources and extraction. The value of utilization, but if it is to be used, it must be scientifically determined.
The method of purifying tailings water depends on the composition and quantity of harmful substances, the type of water discharged into the system, and the requirements for the quality of the returned water. The commonly used methods are as follows.
1 Natural sedimentation using tailings ponds (or other forms of sedimentation tanks). The tailings particles in the tailings are precipitated and removed.
2 physicochemical purification uses adsorption materials to remove certain enthalpy substances.
3 chemical purification Add suitable chemicals to promote the conversion of harmful substances into harmless substances.
The tailings backwater generally has the following methods.
(1) Concentration pond return water The concentration of tailings discharged from the concentrator is generally low. In order to save new water consumption, a tailings concentration tank or a sloping plate concentration tank such as a tailings concentration tank or a sloping plate concentration tank is often built in the concentrator or the concentrating plant to dewater the tailings. The tailings sand is deposited at the bottom of the concentrating tank, and the clarified water overflows from the pool. Return it to the concentrator for reuse. The return water rate of the concentration tank is generally 40%-70%. Large-scale concentrating plants or gravity concentrating plants use concentrated pools to return water. On the one hand, they can obtain a large amount of backwater in the concentrating tanks, reducing the burden of water supply sources; on the other hand, the tailings slurry volume is reduced due to the increase of tailings concentration. Small, so it can reduce the transportation cost of tailings.
(2) The tailings reservoir recessed water After discharging the tailings into the tailings pond, part of the water content in the tailings slurry remains in the gap of the sedimentary tailings, part of which penetrates into the pool through the bottom of the dam body, and the other part The pool surface evaporates. The backwater from the tailings pond is to recover the remaining part of the clarified water for use by the concentrator. Because the tailings pond itself has a certain catchment area. Therefore, the tailings pond itself plays a role in regulating the runoff water.
(3) Backwater in sedimentation tank The use of backwater in sedimentation tank is generally only applicable to small ore dressing plants. Because the tailings deposited at the bottom of the pool need to be cleaned frequently and cost a lot of manpower, it is not suitable to use the sedimentation tank backwater when the scale of the concentrator is large and the production period is long.
The main indicators of this series of equipment basically reach the level of similar international products (such as Nielsen gold selectors, etc.). Compared with similar equipment at home and abroad, this series of equipment has the advantages of high cost performance, easy operation, and low maintenance costs.
The actual use of mining enterprises has proved that the recovery rate of placer gold is above 95%, especially when the single gold in vein gold mines is recovered, when the grinding particle size is less than 0.074mm accounting for 65%, the recovery rate of single gold can reach 98% Above, the recovery rate of 0.04mm monomer gold is over 97%.
