Frequently asked questions during the use of diesel generators

Why did the diesel generator stop suddenly?
1: Diesel generator runs out of fuel. No fuel, of course, diesel generators will automatically shut down. Or too many impurities in the fuel system cause clogging and shutdown. This is a "failure" in the normal state.
2: The load of the diesel generator exceeds the rated power of the generator.
3: The following conditions will stop when the unit is equipped with a diesel generator controller.
A; The diesel generator water temperature will stop.
B: The diesel engine's engine oil pressure is too low to protect the machine.
Diesel generators have low voltage or low frequency operation will stop.
1: The engine room temperature is too high due to the lack of ventilation in the diesel generator room. The cooling performance of the diesel generator causes the coolant to boil.
2: The diesel generator is overloaded, causing the diesel generator to suddenly heat up.
3: The diesel generator pump does not work or the thermostat fails, and the coolant cannot circulate easily.
4: The coolant of the diesel generator is not full and the heat dissipation effect is poor.
5: The diesel generator is placed in a poor position, and the heat sink is poorly cooled or blocked by obstacles.

How do diesel generator manufacturers reduce noise on generators?
1, exhaust noise:
Exhaust gas is a kind of high-temperature, high-speed pulsating airflow noise. It is the largest part of the engine noise with the largest energy. It is much higher than the intake noise and mechanical noise emitted by the body and is the most important component of the total engine noise. Its fundamental frequency is the firing frequency of the engine. The main components of exhaust noise include the following: low-frequency pulsation noise caused by periodic exhaust smoke, air column resonance noise in exhaust pipes, Helmholtz resonance noise of cylinders, high-speed airflow through valve clearance, and tortuous pipelines. The generated noise, eddy current noise, and regenerative noise generated by the exhaust system under the excitation of the pressure wave in the pipeline, with the increase of the airflow speed, the noise frequency is significantly increased.
2. Mechanical noise: Mechanical noise is mainly caused by the vibration or impact caused by the periodic changes of the gas pressure and the movement inertia force during the operation of various moving parts of the engine. The most serious ones are the following: Piston cranks Rod mechanism noise, valve mechanism noise, transmission gear noise, mechanical vibration and noise caused by unbalanced inertial forces. The strong mechanical vibration of the diesel generator sets can be propagated to the outside of the ground from a long distance through the foundation, and then the noise can be formed through the radiation of the ground. This structural noise propagates far and decays, and it is difficult to isolate once formed.
3. Combustion noise: Combustion noise is the structural vibration and noise produced by diesel during the combustion process. The sound pressure level of the combustion noise in the cylinder is very high, but most of the parts in the engine structure have higher rigidity and the natural frequencies are mostly in the high-middle frequency range due to the mismatch of acoustic wave propagation frequency response due to the low frequency band. High peak cylinder pressure levels do not propagate smoothly, while cylinder pressure levels in the mid-to-high frequency range are relatively easy to transmit.
